Toasting Our April Wedding Showcase
We love hosting wedding showcases; the anticipation builds from the moment we announce the date, and we all look forward to the countdown until we’re able to bring together our favourite suppliers. We don’t do things by halves; this year we cancelled lunch service and dressed the property up just as it would be for a whimsical wedding celebration. Newly engaged couples from all over the country join us every showcase to see what it would be like to host their dream day at Peterstone Court; we’re unlike any other Brecon wedding venues.
Our next showcase isn’t until July, but if you missed our April event then here is a round-up that will give you an idea of what a fantastic day you could have been part of!
Couples arriving along our sweeping drive, past the church, sheep and ewes were ushered through our main door into our Pen y Fan function room, named of course for the views of the mountain from our manor. Amidst the excitement, they were serenaded by the Cambria String Quartet and their soothing, classical sounds. From there they could sip on a drink, take in the beauty of the ballroom and have a chat with Endless Love Events and Megan And Claude Events with their props. It was also here that Dyfd Menswear waited to discuss quality wedding and formalwear hire and tailoring.
Outside, John Adams evoked the harmonies of Sam Smith and James Blunt, singing to the attendees and staff from his spot beside our idyllic outdoor pool. Couples particularly loved his Disney medley and engagement with those who strolled past! Opposite, West Country Marquees discussed ideas with couples and Queens Florist - who dressed the GianTipi – was on hand to show off table arrangements and floral ideas.
Once the grounds and view had been taken in, we noticed that many couples opted to venture back towards to ballroom via the terrace, where street food delights wafted around their tasty scents. Who could blame them! After a bite to eat, many made their way further along the terrace to where Bryn Awel Creative Cakes waited, cakes aplenty. Run by mother and son team, we’re sure many pictures were taken of their creations for Instagram!
Phillipa Torrence Hair was also located on the terrace, ready to handle any hair woes and to share styling ideas and Wedding Fusion Imagery were set up with their portfolio of stills and videography. Those keen to find make-up inspiration sought out Makeup By Cinzia.
Indoors and Beyond
From there our dining room beckoned, and it was there that everyone could see The Little Events Company – with their Casino Table and Ice Cream Trike. Elsewhere on the grounds as brides and grooms-to-be explored Peterstone, so too did James Went with his sleight of hand mastery and mind-blowing tricks. No-one could quite work out how he did it… or pin him down for long! Dotted around the venue were pieces styled by Olivia Wedding Supplies and Paperdate Wedding Stationery.
Those interested in capturing the fun and spontaneous moments from their celebrations could have a word with both Photobooth Horse Cart and Ultrabooth who are experts in their field. Continuing with the photography theme, both Ed Shum (Photography First) and the husband and wife team behind Jo Hansford Photography were also in attendance with previous bodies of work taken at Peterstone ready to peruse, both distinct in their own styles.
Our expert wedding team were available throughout the showcase to offer guided tours of the manor and bedrooms, as well as one-to-ones for couples wishing to discuss dates. They would like to thank the suppliers, staff and couples for their support and attendance on the day – we’re glad you all had such a lovely time! What a success the showcase was – we’re already looking forward to July. Won’t you join us?
