Autumn Break in the Brecon Beacons From £300 for two nights
Autumn is here already, it always feels like a time for new beginnings. So now’s the perfect time to take a well deserved rural retreat and enjoy autumn in the Welsh countryside.
For obvious reasons this year has been different and tough for everyone, and yet, some things never change, the rhythm of the seasons come and go and autumn can definitely be one of the best times to visit the Brecon Beacons.
Right now the countryside is reaching maturity and will be at it’s most vivid, the depth of colour is fantastic – reds, orange, browns and yellows, and the hill sides are starting to turn a shade of purple. 470 million years old, 520 sq miles of playground and still looking good – no gimmicks, no theme parks just wide open natural spaces.
Just because summer is drifting away and the nights are getting darker doesn’t mean you have to hibernate - there is still much to do/see and enjoy in our beautiful part of the world – no matter whether you are into the great outdoors or the arts and culture there’s something for everyone.
We are suggesting a visit to our fabulous *waterfalls that are spectacular this time of year, although please consider any local restrictions. Powys our county is currently very low risk and restriction free.
