Important message

We are now open for inside dining, terrace dining with spectacular views and long lazy sunny evenings drinking fine wine with bird song and clean fresh air - this is the moment we have all been waiting for.

The spa is open and outdoor pool, the sauna is currently closed due to restrictions and social distancing is still a priority, but seems part of everyday life now.

After many false hopes and near misses we are pleased to announce our opening to the public on Friday April 30th - There are a few restrictions but none that should delay a visit.  The rooms are open and selling fast !! Mid-Week seems the way to go if possible. We are serving food outdoors on the terraces or in the rather grand marquee should the weather be a spoilsport.  Rest assured, we will, and have as always take the staff and customers safety seriously with measures in line with Welsh Government guidelines - further information can be found here

Spring - A time for new beginnings, the green shoots of hope are finally about to bloom. After the first ministers announcement on Friday we are reviewing the implications and viability of opening Peterstone within the latest guidelines. Rest assured we can't wait to get back. From what we understand we could open on April 1st if every resident lives in Wales and eats in their room ! From the 12th 'outsiders' from across the border could possibly allowed over to spend some money. Whilst it's important we have a clear route back to opening the emphasis should be on clarity not confusion. We want to able to welcome and be welcoming  to ALL that is what hospitality means. It would seem we may have to hang on a little longer - Let the countdown commence!

Peterstone is now closed as of 20th December until further notice - We are so sorry to once again announce this news.

Due to the First Ministers announcement of new restrictions and lockdown measures we will be temporarily closing Peterstone Court (again) from 23rd December 2020 until restrictions are eased. We understand it is unlikely that our trading will resume before late January.

For any guests wishing to treat a loved one with a Peterstone gift voucher this Christmas they are still available to be purchased on our website and can be delivered by email or post.

Please view our website and social media for any future updates, for any enquiries please email

9/11/2020 - update

* Peterstone will now re-open on Monday 16th November - apologies to those customers we have had to call and postpone. Our scheduled maintenance has taken longer than planned !!

Hello everyone, a lot has happened recently so we feel a little update is in order.

Firstly. Yes we are open, however in the short term we will not be able to offer a completely unrestricted stay, but I’m sure you, like many, will be just welcoming a change of scenery, having some lovely food and wine, or just letting yourself go for a few days.

NHS Test and Trace

From today the NHS Test and Trace poster will be displayed at reception and other public areas. If you have the NHS COVID-19 app you can quickly and easily ‘check in’ to PETERSTONE by scanning the QR code. If you do not have the App, we will be asking every guest (not just the lead guest) to leave their details so that we can submit these to NHS Test and Trace. If you plan on downloading the app whilst here please could you make sure this is done before retiring for the evening or before any food and drink orders are taken. The guidance is if there is more than one person in a booking, then you can record the name of the ‘lead member’ of the group (of up to 6 people) and the number of people in that group.

Our on-line booking system is operational should you wish to make a reservation. We will be posting some great incentives to come and visit our hotels over the Autumn months.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Hotel bookings can be cancelled or transferred up to 48hrs prior to arrival with no charge. If you need to cancel or amend your booking within 48hrs of arrival due to COVID-19, we can transfer your booking to another suitable date, however rates may differ between dates. Any cancellations or amendments within 48hrs, that are not as a direct result of COVID-19, will result in our retaining the charge for the first night of your stay. If we are forced to close a hotel/hotels due to COVID-19 bookings can be transferred or cancelled at no charge

We have been operating a pre-order system for breakfast along with allotted times. The dining room is now open subject to social distancing and again we are trying to spread the bookings as best we can. The terraces are also available for al fresco dining with probably the best views in the area.  In line with Government guidance we will only be offering table service for both the dining rooms . This also applies across our other communal areas, including the bar and terraces

We will ask all guests to complete an online check in system and require all guests to be in good health and absent of any Coronavirus symptoms.

Social Distancing

All guests we will need to practice social distancing, with other guests and our team members. Face coverings have now become mandatory whilst indoors (except whilst eating of course) and we are following Government guidelines for gatherings of a maximum of 6, and we ask and trust that our guests will also adhere to these guidelines. Please bring your own face covering with you before for your booking, but we will have some disposable masks available at reception if you forget. Our teams will also be wearing face coverings in all public areas.

Cleaning & Hygiene

Cleanliness and hygiene is always a priority for us. We have fitted sanitation stations throughout the hotel and encourage guests to use them throughout their stay. Touch points in communal areas will be cleaned regularly by team members. To reduce contact, we have also reduced room housekeeping.  We will only service rooms for guests staying multiple nights on request - Please be aware the room must be vacated and windows open for at least 1hr.

Weddings and Events.

Our events team are actively taking enquiries and wedding show rounds are now in full swing. Peterstone is quite possibly THE venue in these uncertain times. The stunning location, grounds, luxury, huge rooms,  and our 'can do' attitude provide all the ingredients for an intimate and romantic wedding.  Please contact the team on to arrange.

Can I use a Gift Voucher?

We have extended the validity of all Gift Vouchers that expired whilst we are closed, or that are due to expire later this year so that you are still able to use them

All Gift Vouchers that expired in April, May, June or July 2020 have been extended by 6 months from date of issue

All Gift Vouchers due to expire in August, September, October, November or December 2020 have been extended by 3 months from date of issue

We have been amazed and humbled at the really positive response from customers since we reopened. We were initially a little apprehensive opening after such a time, nevertheless the sun has been shining, the team were buzzing and the guests so happy to be out again. We thank you so much for your support it really is appreciated.
