Your Stay

Peterstone Court offers you the choice to be very active or very relaxed. Or if you like, a little of both!

In days gone by if you were an outdoor enthusiast then Peterstone Court would certainly NOT be on your list of places to stay - too posh, too expensive, stuffy, old fashioned, and other metaphors that rightly conjoured the 'old school' country house. Not any more - as avid lovers of the great outdoor ourselves whether, horseriding, mountain biking, or road cycling we can understand the need for a little understated luxury. If you, like us, enjoy a glass of great wine or a local beer, fresh and tasty food in a relaxed environment, friendly service, big comfy beds, and perhaps a soothing leg or back massage after a hard slog on the mountains then you have just discovered Peterstone Court - the new breed of country house. Want to bring your dog?, not a problem. We have baskets, bowls and treats but best of all the most wonderful 'walkies' right from our doorstep.

Just 3 miles from Brecon, with the highest mountain in the South of the country (the Pen-y-Fan) looming over us, our location makes Peterstone a Mecca for the big outdoors – equally for the adventurous and the not so adventurous. Even in wet weather there is always something to do – whether it’s kayaking down the river Usk or visiting nearby cultural events such as the Hay festival or the Greenman Music Festival.

With the Brecon Beacons National Park celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the area has now been recognised as one of the most important geological landscapes in Europe, and the first national park in the UK to achieve Geopark status with 470 million years of geological history.

Surrounded by some of the most exceptional scenery in the UK, Peterstone Court truly is a breath of fresh air and a perfect escape from city life.

Our food, hospitality and surroundings are unmistakably Welsh.
