Walking
Walking enables you to capture the sheer
essence of the Usk Valley and its surrounding scenery first
hand. The Brecon Beacon National park is the major centre for
walking in South Wales and offers routes for all abilities.
With 1250 miles of public path ways there should be enough

Caving & Climbing
The area boasts an array of caves, which can be entered with
the guidance of Outdoor Activity providers.
The Llangorse Rope Centre is an adventure playground
for all the family, and Black Mountain Activities offer a broad

For a more controlled environment Dan-Yr-Ogof National
Showcave Centre is the home of the mostspectacular Showcaves

Riding
Often the best areas of our countryside can be experienced from
horseback. There is a number of riding centres that can cater

Cycling
The quiet lanes and country roads make cycling an ideal way to
view the area. A number of national cycle routes run through

Fishing
The fast flowing river Usk has an excellent
reputation for its Salmon and Trout, all the necessary permits
can be obtained locally.
Golf
There are excellent facilities for the keen golfer. Golf clubs
